Ben Legg is the CEO & Co-Founder at The Portfolio Collective, CEO & Founder at Digital People, and holds various board and advisory roles. He has CEO/ COO experience with Google Europe, Ola UK, AdParlor, Adknowledge, and at European Directories.
At Digital People, Ben gathers a wealth of data and insights to support investors focused on digital advertising, social media, eCommerce and video. This includes monitoring $700m of digital ad spend for 200 companies across all platforms including Meta, Google, YouTube, Amazon, Snapchat, Pinterest, Tiktok and more. He monitors all ad formats and targeting options and benchmarks everything for ROI, volume and usability. For each platform, he has like-for-like monthly and quarterly KPI trend data (spend, pricing, ROI etc) going back years, plus forecasts for the next four quarters. He also forecasts the future of the advertising industry, including the future of AI, eCommerce, TV, chatbots, the metaverse and related regulation.
Ben's early career included British Army Officer, McKinsey strategy consultant, executive at Coca-Cola, COO of Google Europe and various global technology CEO roles. He has lived in nine countries and is the author of the award-winning book: Marketing For CEOs – Death Or Glory In The Digital Age. He has five children (!) and lives in London.
